The Sandywoods Kitchen was designed and built specifically to serve as a heavy-use incubator kitchen. It is fully equipped with commercial-grade appliances and fixtures, including two large refrigerators, a freezer, an ice machine, three gas ovens and a six-burner stovetop, a griddle, a large tilting soup kettle, a large commercial mixer, a dishwasher, multiple sinks, rolling stainless steel carts, etc.
Some of the requirements that are necessary to begin using the kitchen include:
1. Rhode Island Department of Heath Food Processor License (Retail or Wholesale) 2. Serve Safe License 3. Liability Insurance 4. And, Sandywoods Kitchen User Agreement.
The kitchen will be available for use on an as needed basis as coordinated by the Kitchen Coordinator 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Access to the facility will be via non-reproducible keys for the door locks.
Scheduling of kitchen time will be on a first reserved, first served basis for members, and as available for non-members.
Kitchen Rates: $20.00 per hour and storage/cooler/freezer rates are available upon request.
