The Honey Dewdrops are the Virginia-based roots duet of Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish. With a blend of new Americana and traditional folk music, they create inspired songs that are rooted in the experiences and lives of common people. Their sound is transcendent; they write all their own songs and yet no one could ever peg them as just another singer-songwriter couple, not when they have embedded a sparse Appalachian clarity on every track that is accessible to listeners everywhere. The songs they write shine with energy and emotion through intimate performances with a handful of acoustic instruments and tightly layered harmonies.
On stage, the Honey Dewdrops focus on dynamically blending the sounds of instruments and voices by singing and playing into a single microphone. There is a high lonesome quality to the way their voices blend that is familiar, yet the mixture is unique. Their music covers the ground between hand-crafted folk songs, Appalachian fiddle tunes, and a cappella spirituals. In their own way, the duo fills up a room with sound and feeling that lingers long after the show is over.
Their third album, Silver Lining, features beautiful harmonies that flow together effortlessly, as quick as a second thought. The acoustic instruments drift along the back roads of the music, between hills clouded with wood smoke. It’s music made in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, beholden not to ancient traditions, but to the spirit of the hills and to the handmade, community music that came before.
During the past four years of touring full-time and playing for audiences across America, The Honey Dewdrops’ down-to-earth, real-life approach to music has touched audiences broadly and brought them to high profile stages such as A Prairie Home Companion.

Back in the early 60's, Roy Book Binder learned his craft from the legendary blind street singer, Reverend Gary Davis, who was thrust into the national spotlight when Peter, Paul and Mary recorded his song, “If I Had My Way.”
After two years of traveling the folk-blues circuit with his mentor, Roy struck out on his own. Along the way, he befriended Pink Anderson, an old Carolina medicine show performer, and the “Pink” in Pink Floyd). Pink’s stories and songs will forever be kept alive as long as Roy has a stage to perform on.
In his travels, Roy has run across quite a cast of characters, including three peg-legged dancers and a 90-year-old classic blues singer with a sparkling smile, who was known as “Diamond Teeth” Mary. All of these characters have become a part of Roy's repertoire. Aside from his accomplished fingerpicking, Roy is known for his dry wit and hilarious monologues, often about his adventures with Reverend Davis.
He has toured with Bonnie Raitt, Hot Tuna and J.J. Cale. He is a crowd favorite at many festivals, including the Philadelphia Folk Festival, the National Story Telling Festival, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, the Chicago Blues Festival, and MerleFest, where he has hosted the acoustic blues stage for the past 14 years.
Musically, Roy is difficult to fence in or categorize. His eclectic repertoire includes blues, country tunes, bluegrass, folk, and popular songs that originated on Tin Pan Alley. He fantasizes that if he had been born 50 years earlier, he would have become a minstrel man. He is still out on the road, entertaining audiences around the world, a story-telling, fingerpicking blues legend.

Cormac McCarthy is established as one of New England’s finest singer-songwriters. A two-time nominee for the Boston Music Awards (Outstanding Folk/Acoustic Act and Outstanding Folk/Acoustic Album), Cormac tours nationally, sharing his delightful humor and performing his finely crafted songs. He has performed at the Newport Folk Festival on several occasions. He has what The Boston Globe calls a “devastating wit and enormous writing gifts, capable of putting chills into your spine or a silly grin on your face.” Cormac’s songs reveal some of the magic of real life in a truthful, superbly literate style, delivered with a soulful baritone and a hot guitar.
Cormac has just released an extraordinary new CD, "Collateral," his first release in seven years. The new album is "a remarkable achievement" (Martin England) by a nationally renowned troubador who is regarded by fellow musicians and fans alike as one of New England’s best songwriters. Cormac writes and sings of a heartfelt, sometimes funny, sometimes desperate, sometimes glorious world of common people, struggles, hope, relationships, madness, and love. He sings the poetry of real life with a silky baritone voice and just enough grit.
"I rarely issue directives but, next time he comes within 100 miles, you must go hear him!” (Seth Rogovoy)

PAT GUBLER, aka P.G. Six, came on the scene in 1994, as a member of Memphis Luxure, a noise/rock band from Port Chester, NY. That band morphed into Tower Recordings, a musically omnivorous ensemble that released several albums on the Siltbreeze and Communion labels over the past decade. Pat’s first solo album, “Parlor Tricks and Porch Favorites,” saw the light of day in 2001, followed by “The Well of Memory” in 2004. “Music From the Sherman Box Series, a collection of instrumentals, arrived in 2006. Pat's music fuses an unlikely range of influences, including 60's British folk, country rock, and experimental music. Pat has shared the stage with a variety of performers, including Ghost, Slint, Yo la tengo, Michael Hurley, and The Incredible String Band. His fourth album, "Slightly Sorry," was released in 2007.
Along with his identity as P.G. Six, Pat Gubler is also a founding member of Tower Recordings. Tower Recordings took its name from a loft space in Port Chester, New York called "Tower Gallery," where Helen Rush and Matt Valentine were living in the early 90's. Pat was soon living there too, and it was in this loft space that the core of the Tower Recordings collective began putting songs and improvisational sessions to tape.
Prior to his involvement with Tower Recordings, Pat studied music at SUNY Purchase. While at SUNY Purchase he met Matt Valentine and Marc Wolf ,who formed the Captain Beefheart and Pussy Galore-inspired Memphis Luxure. Memphis Luxure performed live shows around the Northeast with like-minded noise outfits like Bunnybrains. In 1995, Pat released "Book of Rayguns," P.G. Six's formal debut. This recording is a Branca-esque piece of concert music for the electric guitar performed with Tom Keller and P.G. Six.
Pat has also played with one of his musical heroes, Robin Williamson of the Incredible String Band. The influence of Williamson is clear throughout "Parlor Tricks and Porch Favorites," especially on the Pentangle-inspired "When I Was A Young Man," with its echoes of Irish and Scottish folk music. P.G. Six shares a strong connection to folk instrumental virtuosos like Sandy Bull and John Fahey. The bluesy sound of the American Christian backwoods is evident in his music as well.
In his various musical incarnations, Pat has shared the stage with the aforementioned Robin Williamson, To Live and Shave in L.A., Alan Licht, Tony Conrad, Tono Bungay, Bert Jansch, the Shadow Ring, and many others. His live shows reflect Pat's musical inclinations, combining the traditional with the avant garde.

ALLYSEN CALLERY is a globetrotting folkie who has played concerts in Germany and Switzerland, as well as up and down the East Coast. This alternative folk artist from Rhode Island has an intricate and unique finger style, and a voice that has been called mesmerizing and angelic. Growing up in New England, Allysen was heavily influenced by her parents' British Isles Folk Revival records of the late 60′s early 70′s .
Her first two albums, Hopey (2007) & Hobgoblin’s Hat (2010), were self-released, but reached an international audience, thanks to radio stations such as Folk Radio UK, Sideways Through Sound (Australia), and favorable reviews from Terrascope. In 2011 her EP Winter Island was released by Woodland Recordings (Berlin), with
Allysen touring Germany and Switzerland in support of its release.
She has been called "the Tim Burton of folk music," and her quiet and dark style has made her a favorite of artists and critics alike, including Marissa Nadler who listed Winter Island in her Best Albums of 2011. "“Winter Island is a record that could proudly sit tall next to Sibylle Baier’s Colour Green and Leonard Cohen’s Songs From A Room. It’s impossibly delicate, gorgeously written, and emanates a timeless quality.”
In 2012 Allysen's second EP "The Summer Place" was released by Berlin-based indie label Woodland Recordings, with Allysen again returning to Germany and Switzerland. Allysen tours from Maine to NYC, and has played such rooms as Club Passim, The Knitting Factory, The Blackstone River Theatre, The Oak & The Ax, Stone Soup, AS220, Local 121, The Narrows Center for the Arts, The Red Room, Common Fence Music, and Sandywoods Center for the Arts. In 2012 Allysen was named Best Acoustic/Singer-Songwriter Act in the Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll.
Allysen lives in the small seaside town of Bristol, Rhode Island, with her husband , daughter, and many cats.

ORION RIGEL DOMMISSE creates the kind of stirring folk tunes that creep up on you and then get stuck in your mind. Her beautiful yet haunting songs tell stories of heartbreak, weakened bodies, and princesses with castles.

Orion, a native of Virginia, released her debut album, "What I Want From You Is Sweet," on the Language of Stone label in 2007. Her sophomore album “Chickens” followed in 2012.

A driving force of the Greenwich Village New Folk Movement, Cliff Eberhardt’s music is infused with influences ranging from Americana blues, Tex-Mex and passionate roadhouse ballads. His guitar playing, singing, and original folk songs and blues make for a compelling, thought-filled, emotional roller coaster of a concert.
Cliff knew by age seven that he was going to be a singer and songwriter. Growing up in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, he and his brothers sang together and their parents played instruments. His dad introduced him to the guitar and he quickly taught himself to play. Fortunate enough to live close to the Main Point (one of the best folk clubs on the East Coast), he cut his teeth listening to the likes of James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Bonnie Raitt, and Mississippi John Hurt - receiving an early and impressive tutorial in acoustic music. At the same time, he was also listening to great pop songwriters like Cole Porter, the Gershwins, and Rodgers and Hart, which explains his penchant for great melodies and clever lyrical twists.
In 2012 Cliff performed in, and wrote original music for, The Taming of the Shrew at the Folger Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC. The show received rave reviews, and Cliff's performance in particular was singled out for high praise: Eberhardt’s musical compositions and acoustical guitar playing are delicious in their own right. There’s something both clever and soulful in his songwriting. His gravelly voice on the low end also expresses a rich sweetness, as if Tom Waits melded with Ritchie Havens.

The Chorus's repertoire includes a wide variety of chanteys and songs that reflect the rich maritime heritage of New Bedford and the surrounding region. The 40-voice group also sings rich choral music. These offerings range from the ancient "We Be Three Poor Mariners," by 16th century composer Thomas Ravenscroft, to the Ralph Vaughn Williams setting of the traditional "Down Among the Dead Men," to excerpts from Gilbert and Sullivan's classic, "H.M.S. Joe Doyle is a hit Nashville songwriter, but his musical journey began in Rhode Island. Joe was raised as the youngest of seven children in Riverside, a small town along Narragansett Bay. Music was an ever-present element in a household of six older siblings. Top 40 radio became a passion for Joe as early as the first grade. By the age of twelve, after watching a Paul McCartney and Wings special on TV, he knew he had to start playing a musical instrument. As luck would have it, his older brother had an old Ludwig snare drum gathering dust in the basement. Joe asked his folks if he could take drum lessons and that is where his musical journey began.
It was at Berklee College of Music in Boston that Joe was first introduced to jazz and the idea of learning to play guitar and piano. The inspiration to write songs soon followed. Joe was lucky enough to win a couple of songwriting contests at Berklee, which in turn gave him the courage to move to Nashville upon graduation and "give it a try."
Joe was very fortunate upon his arrival in Music City in January of '88. Country music was booming. He signed his first publishing deal in April, only a few penniless months after his move to Nashville. In Joe’s ten years with BMG Music Publishing, his songs were recorded by the likes of Reba McEntire, Joe Diffie, Dan Seals, Daryle Singletary, Linda Davis, Martina McBride, Deryl Dodd and many others. Joe penned the #1 single "In Pictures" for Alabama and the top ten single "She Said Yes" for Rhett Akins.
Joe’s second decade in Nashville as a staff songwriter has included stints with Acuff-Rose, Murrah Music, Amylase Entertainment and Warner Chappell Music. Artists covering his songs include Kenny Rogers, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Blaine Larsen, and most recently Mallary Hope's single "Blossom in the Dust" for Universal Records.

SATURDAY, JULY 20, 2013 - VILLAGE HARMONY
Village Harmony was founded by Larry Gordon in 1988. It began as a small ensemble of high school singers drawn from several central Vermont schools, rehearsing and preparing a concert program for a ten-day spring tour. In 1990 the first Village Harmony summer camp was held, establishing a pattern which has continued ever since: a week-long residential rehearsal week followed by a performing tour with homestays hosted by community sponsors. The organization and its programs have grown steadily and organically. In 1994, the first teen summer camp went overseas, to Russia, and the following year the first of many England camp sessions was held. Village Harmony has since taken study-performance groups to Italy, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Corsica, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Caucasus Georgia, Ukraine, Ghana and South Africa, changing destinations each year, and making repeat visits to favorite countries.
Village Harmony programs have grown almost entirely through word of mouth, and through the wide exposure afforded by extensive touring and distribution of recordings. Over the years Village Harmony has developed a strong international presence, through its many study/performance programs, through its many professional recordings, and through regular tours throughout North America, the UK and western Europe.
In past years Village Harmony has performed on Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion and at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC.

America’s premier purveyor of family-style original & neo-traditional acoustic American roots music, The Homegrown String Band is a high energy 21st century incarnation of the traditional family band. This quartet of acoustic musicians from Rocky Point, NY utilizes unique instrumentation and many varied musical influences to take their audiences on a rollicking ride through the sounds of American music. Their repertoire consists of traditional and original music inspired by the rural string bands that recorded during the 1920's and 30's, as well as all the great American roots music that followed. This family that plays together has been performing at bluegrass, blues, and folk festivals, theaters, and libraries from Maine to Missouri since 1997, including the National Theatre in Washington DC, the Appalachian Fiddle & Bluegrass Association festival in Wind Gap, PA, and the Festival of American Music in Branson, Missouri.
"Their devotion to their craft and way of life is obvious; this family is breathing fresh life into the American folk tradition at a time when our nation’s roots are so often forgotten." - Sarah Craig, Manager, Caffe Lena.
"There’s something special about the music a family creates together. The harmonies, the timing, the spirit breathe as one. Whether you classify their sound as Americana, bluegrass, folk, or old-time country, Rick Jackofsky, his wife Georgianne, and their daughters Erica (a standout on fiddle) and Annalee are not only dedicated to keeping a classic tradition alive, they’re advancing it . . . testifying to the power and joy of music made by a real family band." - Bill Dahl, author, Motown: The Golden Years.

Amy Bedard is a classically trained violinist but picked up the electric violin about 15 years ago. She received her B.S. degree in Music Education at Rhode Island College where she played violin and also sang in the chorus and with the chamber singers. Amy has been playing in the RIC Symphony orchestra for the past 25 years. She has also been teaching music and strings classes in the Providence Public School system for the past 17 years. She fronted the rock band the Sliders for about 5 years in the late 90’s. Amy plays guitar and violin and sings as half of the acoustic duo, Providence Underground, with Gil Allen (since 2001). She is also a member of Forever Young, a Neil Young tribute band composed of Rhode Island's finest rock musicians. Amy performs in a wedding ensemble, A Change of Scene, and plays violin in pit orchestras for various theater companies throughout RI and Massachusetts.
Ed McGuirl was with the well known Greencastle Band from 1977 to 1987, playing Celtic music throughout New England. After taking some time off to do family-oriented things like coaching youth soccer, Ed began playing solo and with fellow multi-instrumentalist and long time partner Mike Fischman as the 'Folk Support Group' in the early 90's. Ed's songs have found their way onto numerous compilation CDs and a soundtrack for an NBC documentary on the problem of hunger in the U.S. He has won the prestigious 2007 Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll in the Local Blues category, and wasn nominated again in 2008. He also won the 2005 Motif Magazine Reader's Poll in the Local Blues category. Of particular note is his inclusion on the 2007 Rhode Island Songwriters Association's "RISA In The Raw" calendar as "Mr. March." In recent years Ed has opened for Duke Robillard and The Blind Boys Of Alabama. He is not sure if he is on a no-fly list but has never gotten a gig at an airport so sees no need to worry. He aspires to be a full-time philanthropist as soon as someone gives him enormous amounts of money.
Mike Fischman escaped from Long Island, New York in 1985 to the cultural diversity that is Rhode Island.in order to maintain his riparian status. Since then, he has played in bluegrass, old timey, Irish, rock 'n roll, blues, acoustic folk, Dixieland, swing, jazz, country and western, and world folk fusion bands. In his spare time, he teaches guitar, mandolin, three kinds of banjo, a little bass, and, in a pinch, harmonica. Aside from that, Mike does very little, save for his volunteer work in quantum mechanics. Mike can be seen and heard with numerous bands, including The Gnomes and French Connection. He has also been a guest musician on many other folk groups’ recordings, including one country music production that won a 1995 Boston Music Award. Mike has produced several of his own CDs as well.
Dan Lilley grew up listening religiously to folk music by Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Bob Dylan, and of course Neil Young. He eventually came to embrace The Beatles, The Stones, The Kinks, The Who, Led Zep, and the entire canon of classic rock geniuses. Now Dan owns a couple of killer electric guitars himself, along with his trusty Gibson acoustics. But it all goes back to the beautiful tone of the acoustic guitar. That forms the basis of Dan's very soul. He has fronted many bands, including Tyger Tyger, The Flying Ditchdiggers, and Lovetrain. Lovetrain was a 4-piece rock and roll band from Providence, Rhode Island. The band started in 1993 and released its first cassette, entitled “Off The Track,” in 1995. Shortly afterwards the band underwent lineup changes, transforming itself from a country-tinged rock band to a harder-edged rock and roll outfit. Lovetrain's second CD, "Destination," was released in 2010 to numerous positive reviews, and was nominated for "Album of the Year" in the 2011 Motif Magazine Music Awards. After 15 odd years playing together, Lovetrain finally disbanded for good in 2010. Dan's musical focus has morphed into the duo, Dan Lilley & Scatman, consisting of Dan and Mike Sullivan (former lead guitarist for Lovetrain), Dan and Mike have found that as a duo there is more work available with a lot less hassle. The repertoire remains very similar to what Lovetrain was playing - Dan's originals along with folk, rock, and blues from the 60's and 70's. Dan was voted Best Male Vocalist in the 2010 Motif. In addition to Dan Lilley & Scatman, Dan also performs with Forever Young, Rhode Island's premiere Neil Young tribute band. This stellar outfit has been gaining popularity in the New England area, earning the Motif Magazine Award for Best Tribute band in 2008, 2010 and 2011.

Run & Scurry is David Furlong and Joe Caron. David and Joe met in 2008 while working for a high tech company in Newport, RI. They often played during lunch hours in empty conference rooms and it became quite clear that their two guitar styles meshed very comfortably. Both David and Joe have a rock history with an acoustic foundation.
For David, the last decade has been one of classic club rock as lead guitarist for RI-based New York Minute. Prior to NYM, David played for several years as bassist for Relapse, another classic/cover rock group touring the Rhode Island club circuit. However, his roots are with Three Legged Horse, an acoustic trio of guitar, violin, and bass that played over 200 nights a year for more than a decade during the 70's and 80's. Many of the songs were penned by David. The band headlined at New England clubs and colleges, and opened for The Pousette-Dart Band, McGuinn and Hillman (aka The Byrds), Liv Taylor, and Tom Rush. Three Legged Horse was voted 'Best Acoustic Act' by the Providence Journal in 1978.
Songwriting has always been David's creative cornerstone. Combined with his love of guitars and his growing collection, his compositions range from electric funk to melodic, classical fingerstyle picking. All of these styles come to life in one unique flavor when he and Joe sit down to play.

Joe Caron began playing the banjo at the age of four with his father’s help and with influence from the Grand Ole Opry. He added guitar as his primary instrument at the age of seven and began his six-string musical journey from there. His first professional position started at the age of fifteen with the nine-piece horn band "Metropolis." At the age of eighteen he began touring the East Coast with the rock/comedy trio "The Jimmy Carter Show." In 1982 Joe joined the RI-based group “Touch” and a few years later left to form his own original band, "F-Sharp," and again hit the road to tour and promote his own brand of funk, rock, and boogie. Returning to the East Bay of Rhode Island in the late 90's, Joe began performing with the local acoustic/vocal trio "Trinity," with whom he still performs.
Songwriting and playing guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukuklele, and a few other “ethnic” stringed instruments has been Joe’s lifelong passion. With Dave he can explore the outer limits of acoustic music with no boundaries.
Run & Scurry will surprise and delight you with their six-string pyrotechnics and down-home humor.

The Smile Makers is the musical brainchild of Eric Donaldson and Nicole Sutka. These two multifaceted musicians draw influences from funk, folk, ska, bluegrass, and alt-rock. Their original music mixes seamless vocal harmonies with poetically crafted lyrics to create songs and performances that have been described by reviewers as "hauntingly beautiful." Their music is full of nuances and instrumental gems, encapsulating troubled experiences with melodies that conjure up both hope and foreboding. The cross-genre influences and complex rhythmic song structures put them in a musical genre all their own. This group is not all cute and cuddly. Their softer side is well-balanced with rip-rocking tunes and roaring bass lines that will make you want to get up and dance. Eric Donaldson (vox, guitars, ukelele, harmonica) and Nicole Sutka (vox, bass guitars, flute, recorders, piano).

Jacob Haller grew up in Holland, Massachusetts and still remembers the music parties his parents used to throw, where friends and families would bring their instruments and sing all kinds of music, from old traditional songs to Motown hits. When Jacob was in college, he picked up the guitar and started learning some of those songs, and eventually started writing songs of his own, mostly strange little songs he wrote to entertain friends.
In 2010 Jacob was nominated for "Best Singer/Songwriter" in the Providence Phoenix. He currently performs solo and with a backing band, The Running Commentary. He is also a member of two other bands, the Killdevils (a blues/soul/rock band) and the Double Decker Dance Band (an afro-beat/dance band).
Jacob has been a member of the Rhode Island Songwriters Association since September of 2006. In 2011, his song "The Ballad of Anne Hutchinson" was one of those selected to be played in "Singing About Providence," a show celebrating Providence's 375th anniversary put on by HEAR In Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Songwriters Association. Jacob has released two CDs, Circumstantial Evidence and Mistaken Identity.

You won't want to miss this wonderful evening of music performed by Rani Arbo (fiddle, guitar), Andrew Kinsey (bass, banjo, uke), Anand Nayak (electric and acoustic guitars) and Scott Kessel (percussion). Kessel’s percussion rig is 95% recycled, featuring a cardboard box, tin cans, caulk tubes, and a vinyl suitcase in lieu of a bass drum. All the band members sing, and their four-part harmonies soar, whether on a haunting Appalachian ballad, a Springsteen rocker, or a Bahamian a capella song. Many of their songs plumb the human condition, with topics ranging from joy to death (a favorite), loss, aging, blackbirds, and red-haired boys. The band has jokingly dubbed itself an “agnostic gospel” revival show, but there’s truth in it; the refrain they hear time and again from audiences all over the country is that their performances really do heal.
The band recycles - but tries hard not to reduce - 150 years of American music. They hang a Georgia Sea Islands song on a New Orleans groove. They write lyrics for an Irish fiddle tune and underpin it with an Afro-Cuban cajon. Leonard Cohen gets clawhammer banjo; Springsteen gets bluegrass harmonies. Their originals range from blues, to bluegrass, to Unitarian funk gospel, to crooner swing, to spooky folk-pop.
Rani Arbo & daisy mayhem celebrates America's past and takes it into the present. The band's newest album, Some Bright Morning, was released on Signature Sounds in April 2012.

His songs draw their structures from folk, country, blues, and rock music. He is a lover of spontaneous collaborations and his songs often have several different arrangements.
Matt writes from a personal perspective, but his songs are markedly devoid of the boring self-pity that plagues the repertoires of many acoustic balladeers. He has several protest songs and no breakup songs. Matt's insightful lyrics and passionate performances have earned him recognition in various New England talent showcases and songwriting contests, most notably at the Boston Folk Festival Youth Songwriting Contest. He regularly performs at venues throughout the region, including Club Passim, The Lizard Lounge, and The Narrows Center for the Arts.

Having spent parts of his own life as a mill worker, fisherman, laborer and carpenter, and most of his adult years as a husband and father, Michael has traveled many paths, and the experience and wisdom he's gleaned along the way echoes through his music. A magical storyteller with a gift for melody, a deep rich voice, excellent finger-picking skills and the ability to compose outstanding stanzas of substance, Michael's plaintive ballads speak of the hills and mills of Fall River and of childhood dreams not quite forgotten in the adult quest to make an honest living.

Tim’s past groups have included Second Wind, Middle Earth, and the SporADix. Dana performed for many years with the Taz RF Band. Portsmouth resident Steven Mortrude adds a fantastic voice, strong rhythm acoustic guitar and keyboards to the mix. Lead guitarist Dave DeLeone is the youngblood in the band, and brings his own sensibilities to the fun. Bass player Chris Knott lays down the bottom. Westport native and show-stopping drummer Ben Pereira must be seen, heard, and felt to be believed. This bunch is an unpretentious lot! They are on an equal footing with the audience, and the symbiosis is clear. And their backup singers, the Jaded Waitresses, never fail to energize the crowd.

Bluegrass, Tex-Mex, folk, country, gospel, Cajun - it’s all here, respectfully informed by soul, blues, rock, pop, world music, and other contemporary influences. Great music has always been about creating new and original expressions, not simply repeating the voices of the past as perfectly as possible. That’s what we do, we take from the old and make something new. New music with an old feel. Add a healthy dose of originals, an impressive array of acoustic instruments, and a commitment to creative arrangements and vivid performances, and you get a musical gumbo guaranteed to please.

Danielle Miraglia comes armed with a strong steady thumb on an old Gibson, an infectious stomp-box rhythm, and harmonica. Her tunes range from heartfelt to socially conscious and will move both your heart and hips. Danielle’s latest release "Box of Troubles" is a bare bones expression of all these attributes, exploring the highs and lows that life has to offer. It has already received rave reviews.
Acoustic Root says "Danielle Miraglia’s guitar work keeps Delta traditions alive. Her steady thumb and playing style trace a direct line to the blues of the field and chicken shacks. Vocally, Danielle’s voice digs in, twisting within the delivery, seeming to break but more likely soaring before the fall. 'Box of Troubles' balances good times with the bad, her characters roles' defined and believable."
